Mom's Meatloaf

Yields: 1 loaf
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef (can use extra lean, ground turkey, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons onions, diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup skim milk powder
- 1 large egg
- 1⁄4 cup ketchup (or BBQ sauce, Heinz 57, etc.)
- 2⁄3 cup rolled oats
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Mix all ingredients together thoroughly in a large bowl.
- Press flat into loaf pan, making sure mixture is level.
- Bake at 325°F for 1 hour.
- Optional: remove after 50 minutes, cover in BBQ sauce or mixture of ketchup and brown sugar, and return to oven for 10 minutes.
- Let meatloaf stand 5 minutes before slicing.
