Mom's Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients
Mix
- 1 lb dark brown sugar
- 1 lb butter, softened
- 1⁄2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
Additional ingredients per serving
- 1 ounce dark rum
- 1 stick cinnamon
- boiling water
Directions
- To make mix, cream butter and sugar together until well combined. Add ice cream and mix together until the mix is an even consistancy. Store in a container in the freezer.
- Note that this makes quite a lot of mix, but it can be scaled back.
- To make each serving of hot buttered rum, place a heaping tablespoon of mix into a mug. Add 1 ounce of rum (give or take, according to taste!) and fill mug with boiling water. Place cinnamon stick in mug to use to stir the ingredients together.
