Mom's Flapper Pie

Ingredients
Crumb crust
- 1 1⁄4 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1⁄4 cup white sugar
- 1⁄4 cup melted butter or 1⁄4 cup margarine
Filling
- 1⁄2 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Meringue
- 2 egg whites, beaten stiff
- add 1/4 cup white sugar
Directions
- Heat 1 3/4 cups milk, mix remaining milk with rest of ingredients. Add to hot milk- stir and boil till thick and smooth. Put in crust and top with meringue.
- Bake in hot oven (425) for 5 minutes.
