Mom's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

• 4  tablespoons cocoa powder
• 1  cup white sugar
• 1  cup brown sugar
• 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
• 1  cup  18%  cream
• 1  tablespoon corn syrup
• 1  tablespoon butter
• 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Mix together cocoa, sugars, and salt.
2. Add cream, corn syrup, and butter.
3. Bring to boiling point while stirring. Then reduce heat and boil gently until mixture reaches soft ball stage (about 17 minutes all together).
4. Remove from heat, and add vanilla.
5. Place saucepan in cold water for 5 minutes (do not mix while in water).
6. Remove saucepan from water, and beat until mixture thickens and loses its glossy appearance (about 7 minutes).
7. Spread in a buttered pan.
