Mom's Cream Cheese Thumbprint Cookies

  1. Cream the Butter, Shortening Cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a separate bowl.
  3. Add flour mixture in small batches to the butter mixture mixing well.
  4. Chill dough for 2-3 hours.
  5. Roll into 1”balls dip in egg white and roll in chopped nuts.
  6. Place on a parchment lined or greased cookie sheet and use your thumb to press deeply in the center of each ball.
  7. Fill with Raspberry or Apricot Jam.
  8. Bake at 350 for 10-13 minutes.
