Mom's Banana Bread (Goes Fast!)

My favorite banana bread I've had ever since I can remember. Love to eat in slices nice and warm with a little butter. For the chopped walnuts we use this ancient nut grinder so the nuts are all in even and small, yet tastable pieces. Show more

Yields: 1 loaf

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together, set aside.
  3. Mix butter, eggs, and sugar.
  4. Add dry ingredients.
  5. Gradually add sour milk, mix.
  6. Add the bananas and chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes at 350.
  9. Then turn oven down to 325 and bake another 30-35 minutes.
  10. Cool in pan on wire rack.
