Mom T's Deluxe Pumpkin Custard

Ingredients
Custard
- 2 eggs
- 1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin
- 1 cup light cream
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Topping
- 1⁄4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Beat custard ingredients until smooth. Pour into 6 custard cups (6 oz).
- Mix topping ingredients. Sprinkle over top of custard.
- Place cups into a 9x13" baking pan. Pour very hot water into pan around cups to within 1/2" from tops of cups. Bake for 20 minutes until knife inserted half way between edge and center comes out clean.
- Remove immediately.
- Serve with whipped cream if you like.
