Mole Poblano

I've been sorting through some old recipes that I've saved and ran across this one for leftover turkey. It was in the West Hawaii Today newspaper in 11/2005. My notes say that it's pretty good. Show more

  1. Cook onions and garlic in the oil over medium heat, stirring constantly, until softened.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, thyme, cinnamon, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and cornmeal; cook for 1 minute more, stirring constantly.
  3. Stir in chicken broth; continue stirring until liquid begins to boil.
  4. Reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add corn and turkey; heat through.
  6. Stir in chocolate and herbs; serve hot.
