Molaze Beef Mince With Rice

Serves: 3-4
Ingredients
- 400 g prime beef mince
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small brown onion (or half a large onion)
- 1⁄2 cup red capsicum (Diced)
- 1⁄2 cup green capsicum (Diced)
- 1 1⁄2 cups cabbage, chopped into small pieces
- 1 medium carrot (Diced)
- 1 (400 g) can of diced tomato including juice
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce (Available at Asian grocery)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon soft brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon red wine
- 1⁄2 clove crushed garlic
1/2 Teaspoon of each of the following
- basil, Oregano, Sea salt, Turmeric
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1 -2 tablespoon cornflour
- 1 1⁄2 cups uncooked rice
Directions
- In a Medium bowl mix cabbage ,carrot ,can tomato ,dijon mustard ,mayonaise ,hoisin sauce ,brown sugar ,lemon juice ,herbs ,water ,red wine.
- Heat oil in a wok ,and lightly brown onion and capsicum on med-high heat for about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
- Mix in the beef mince and brown mince ,about 6 minutes ,stirring regularly.
- Add the rest of the ingredients you have mixed in a bowl ,cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
- After 5 mins take lid off and simmer rapidly for a further 15 minutes.
- Add 1 -2 Tablespoons cornflour to thicken sauce(Thicken to your liking) simmer for about another 5 minutes to allow sauce to thicken.
- Serve on steamed rice.
