Mocha Brownie Cookies With Coffee Frosting

Ingredients

• 6  tablespoons butter, softened
• 1 1⁄2 ounces  unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
• 6  tablespoons buttermilk
• 1⁄3 teaspoon baking soda
• 3⁄4 cup sugar
• 1  large egg
• 1  teaspoon baking powder
• 1  teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1  cup all-purpose flour
• 2  tablespoons all-purpose flour

• COFFEE FROSTING

• 5  cups powdered sugar
• 1⁄4 cup  baking cocoa
• 6  tablespoons butter, softened
• 1⁄3 cup brewed coffee

Directions

1. combine all ingredients in order listed -- mix well.
2. drop by tblsful onto ungreased baking sheets, bake at 350* for 10 minutes.
3. cool on wire rck.
4. frost --
5. makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
6. to prepare COFFEE FROSTING:
7. combine the first 3 ingredients, gradually blend in coffee until desired spreading consistency -- is reached.
