  1. Pour water into a 2-quart glass bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 8 minutes until just boiling. Little bubbles will appear on the water surface.
  2. Add sugar, tea and mint leaves. Cover with a lid or plate and let steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir gently.
  3. Pour tea through a sieve into glasses.
