Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 large carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 instant Oxo beef cubes or 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 tablespoon bisto or 1 tablespoon beef gravy
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- pepper
- 4 medium potatoes, mashed
Directions
- In a saucepan combine 1 cup water, beef,onions,carrots, peas and oxo cubes.
- bring to a boil and cook for 5 mins.add rosemary and thyme.reduce the heat to simmer and cook uncovered for 1 hour -- Combine the remaining 1/2 cup of water and mix in the bisto.add this mixture to the stew and mix well stir until the stew thickens.add pepper to taste.
- Serve on mashed potatoes.
