Mimmie's Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
- 2 lbs chuck steaks, cut in strips
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 (4 ounce) can drained mushrooms
- 1 medium onion (optional)
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup sour cream
- salt
Directions
- Brown meat in butter.
- Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and simmer until meat is tender.
- Mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Stir into meat mixture.
- Cover and cook 10 more minutes, stirring often.
- Cool slightly and stir in sour cream.
- Serve over flat noodles.
