Milk Punch

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 quart half-and-half
- 1 cup brandy
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- nutmeg
Directions
- Put sugar and water in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until syrup consistency.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Mix together cooled syrup, half and half, brandy, and vanilla.
- Pour punch into ice-filled glasses.
- Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
