Mexican Sauce for Chiles Rellenos

Ingredients
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1⁄8 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 (1 lb) cans whole tomatoes, cut up
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon oregano
Directions
- Saute onion, green pepper, and garlic in oil until onion is tender. Add tomatoes and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
