Melanie's No-Bake Cookies

Yields: 12-24 cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1⁄3 cup shortening
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 cup peanut butter
- 1⁄4 cup cocoa
- 3 cups instant oats
Directions
- Mix first four ingredients together in a saucepan on medium heat. Stirring constantly so mixture does not burn. Let it come to a boil and remove from heat.
- Add vanilla, peanut butter, cocoa and oats. MIx together thoroughly. Drop by teaspoon full onto wax paper or clean, dry countertop.
