Meaty Vegan TVP Burger

Ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup textured vegetable protein
- 1⁄2 cup black beans, drained
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1⁄2 small onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar, sauce
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1⁄2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 3⁄4 teaspoon basil
- 3⁄4 teaspoon oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 cup rice flour
- 2 tablespoons tapioca flour
Directions
- Boil water add Better Than bouillon to make broth.
- In a heat proof bowl add the TVP to soak for 10 minute.
- After 10 minute squeeze the liquid out with your hands.
- While the TVP is soaking, in a fry pan with 1 T. olive oil, add onion and garlic. Cook until opaque.
- In a food processor, add onion, garlic, drained black beans, tomato paste, worchestershire, balsamic, olive oil and all the spices.
- Blend until chunky. Add the TVP and pulse a couple of times.
- In a bowl, add the chopped mixture and rice flour and tapioca flour. Mix with spatula.
- Take 2-3 T. mixture and roll into a ball, flatten as for a burger.
- Heat a non stick fry pan with a bit of olive oil.
- Cook both sides for 5 minute.
- Serve in a bun with whatever condiments you like.
- Such as sauce, lettuce, cheese, onions, pickles.
