Meat Loaf Wellington

An easy to make, delicious meat loaf. Great to serve to company. Serve with potatoes and salad.

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lbs  ground meat
  • 1  cup  small  bread cubes
  • 2  beef bouillon cubes dissolved in 1 cup boiling water
  • 1  egg, slightly beaten
  • 14 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1  teaspoon salt
  • 1  dash pepper
  • 5  refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Directions

  1. Mix 1/2 cup bouillon with bread cubes and add egg. Let stand about 5 minutes or until croutons are softened, beat until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add meat, onion, salt and pepper.
  3. Shape into loaf. Place in shallow baking pan.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
  5. Separate crescent rolls, place crosswise over top and down sides of loaf, overlapping slightly.
  6. Bake 15 minutes more.
