Matt's Chocolate Caramel Brownies

Yields: 12 Brownies

Ingredients

  • 30  caramels (melt together caramels and milk in a double boiler)
  • 14 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 (18 ounce) package  German chocolate cake mix
  • 34 cup butter
  • 13 cup evaporated milk
  • 1  cup walnuts
  • 1  cup  milk chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix cake mix with butter and milk.
  3. Place in fridge for 30-60 minutes.
  4. Press 1/2 of the mixture in a greased 13x9 glass pan, by pressing small pieces of batter in pan.
  5. Place remaining batter in fridge.
  6. Bake bottom layer of 6 mins @ 350 degrees.
  7. Let cool for 30 minutes.
  8. Pour caramel sauce over cake and sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
  9. Place remaining batter on top with small pieces.
  10. Bake 15-18 minutes.
  11. Cool and serve.
