Mary's Green Tomato Relish

What to do with all the those green tomatoes at the end of the harvest? Make relish to enjoy year round. As this recipe is old it doesn't state how many jars this makes.

Ingredients

• 1  gallon green tomato, chopped
• 6  large onions, chopped
• 6  large green peppers, chopped
• 1  quart vinegar
• 1  quart sugar
• 1  tablespoon mustard
• 1  tablespoon pepper
• 1  tablespoon salt
• 1  teaspoon clove (tied in cheesecloth)
• 1⁄4 teaspoon turmeric

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients together and boil hard for 15-20 minute Remove cloves. Place mixture in sterile jars and process in water bath canner for 10-15 minutes based on altitude.
