Marinated Sirloin Steak

Another recipe I marked in the TOH magazine to try. I love trying all different kinds of marinades and this sounds really different. Can also try subbing chicken for the steak. Will update once I make this for dinner. Show more

Directions

  1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first seven ingredients. Add steak and turn to coat. Seal and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
  2. Drain and discard marinade. Grill steaks, covered, over medium-hot heat for 3-5 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°).
  3. Note: I usually baste the steak with the marinade for the first turns to really get the flavors into the meat and then discard it while it finishes cooking.
