Maple Cream Pie

From Darlene Kossmman. Very old recipe.

  1. Mix all crust items together
  2. Lne pie crust
  3. For filling, beat egg yolk with brown sugar
  4. Dissolve gelatin with a little cold water
  5. In another pan boil syrup
  6. Add to egg yolk mixture. Be sure to temper it or you will have scrambled egg.
  7. Add gelatin mixture while still hot
  8. Let cool, but not thickened.
  9. Add the whipped cream and a couple drops of maple flavoring
  10. Pour into crust and top with nuts
  11. Chill overnight.
