Make-Ahead Baked French Toast

Baked french toast that can also be made ahead of time and baked next-day if stored in the fridge overnight. Feel free to add walnuts or pecans to the mix. Show more

Ingredients

  • 1  loaf  challah
  • 1  cup  whole milk
  • 3  eggs
  • 12 cup butter
  • 2  tablespoons brown sugar (Variable Based On Your Liking!)
  • 1  dash cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 1. Whisk together eggs & milk in a bowl.
  3. 2. In a separate bowl, melt the butter. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon until you reach a paste consistency. Taste and alter brown sugar to your liking.
  4. 3. Spread the butter mixture on the bottom of the pan (13x9) and then lay the bread on top of the mixture. Pour egg mixture all over the bread.
  5. 4. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until the bread is no longer wet.
