Make-A-Mix Peanut Butter Cookies

This recipe uses Make-A-Mix Cookie Mix (posted separately). Approximate mix amounts for one batch of these cookies is included below.

• Yields: 30-36 cookies

Ingredients

• For Cookie Mix

• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
• 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄3 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 cup vegetable shortening

• Additional ingredients

• 1⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 2  eggs
• 1⁄2 cup chunky peanut butter

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F Lightly grease baking sheets.
2. Combine 3 cups cookie mix with all additional ingredients. Blend well.
3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
4. Place on prepared baking sheets and flatten with tine of a fork, turn fork 90 degrees and press again, creating hatch marks on top of cookie.
5. Bake 10-12 minutes or until edges are browned.
