Luscious Raw and Cooked Fruit Compote

Untried as yet by me but sounds lovely.Serve with ice cream, crepes, cheesecake etc.

Ready In: 20 mins

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 4  cups berries or 4  cups  stone  fruit, pitted
  • 12-1  cup sugar, to taste
  •  water

Directions

  1. Place 1/2 of fruit in medium pot.
  2. Add scsnt 1/2 cup water.
  3. Cover and heat till fruit releases juices.
  4. Remove lid and add sugar.
  5. Bring to boil, simmer several minutes till sugar has dissolved and fruit is broken down.
  6. Pour into bowl and cool 10 minutes.
  7. Add remaining raw fruit and serve at room temperature.
  8. Store leftovers in fridge.
