Lori's BLT Salad

Ingredients
- 3 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons dried savory
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1⁄8 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 pinch fresh cracked pepper
- 1 pinch cayenne
- 1 (12 ounce) package bacon (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 1⁄2 cups bread (cubed)
- salt (to taste)
- 1⁄2 cup light sour cream
- 1⁄2 cup light mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons fresh cracked pepper
- 2 heads romaine lettuce hearts (torn)
- 3 large tomatoes (chopped, rinsed, drained)
Directions
- Combine the basil, savory, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, pepper and cayenne.
- Set aside 1 teaspoons.
- Brown bacon in a large skillet. Remove with a slotted spoon. Drain on papper towels.
- To skillet add oil. Heat until hot.
- Add bread. Saute until golden. Drain.
- Toss with remaining seasoning mix and a little salt.
- Whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, pepper and the reserved teaspoons of seasoning mix.
- Layer lettuce, bacon and tomatoes in a glass bowl.
- Spread dressing on top.
- Cover. Chill 1 hour.
- Toss with croutons. Serve.
