Lobster Thermidor

An adopted and totally awesome recipe!

Serves: 1-2

Ingredients

  • 1 -1 12 lb lobster
  • 2  teaspoons butter
  • 3  teaspoons onions, minced
  • 4  teaspoons  red peppers, minced
  • 4  teaspoons green peppers, minced
  • 14 cup  sliced mushrooms
  • 14 cup  cream
  • 1  tablespoon mustard
  • 1  teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Split the lobster in half. Remove the flesh and dice it.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet.
  3. Sauté onion, red and green pepper.
  4. Add the mushroom, mustard and salt.
  5. Add lobster meat.
  6. Slowly, stir in the cream. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Then stir frequently and set aside.
  7. Wash lobster shell thoroughly.
  8. Fill it with sautéed mixture.
  9. Place in broiler pan and broil until bubbly.
  10. Place in an oval platter. Garnish with tomato, red and green pepper, lemon wedges or cucumber slices, if desired.
