Liqueur Cherries

Great gift from the kitchen ! Prep time does not include one week macerating in the fridge. As an alternative to the morello cherries you could use 680 grams fresh cherries, stewed.

• Yields: 2 jars

Ingredients

• 680  g  morello cherries
• 1  cup white sugar
• 1  cup brandy
• 3  cinnamon sticks
• 6  whole cloves

Directions

1. Place all ingredients in jug.
2. Mix to combine.
3. Pour into large warm sterilized jar.
4. Seal, keep jar in fridge.
5. Invert daily to dissolve sugar for a week.
6. Divide cherry mixture into 2 small sterilized jars.
7. Seal, decorate and give as a gift.
