Lime Sherbet

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon gelatin
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups lime soda
- 3 egg whites, whipped stiff
- 1⁄2 cup almonds or 1⁄2 cup pistachio nut, chopped
Directions
- Soak gelatin in two tablespoonfuls of cold water for 5 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup boiling water and stir until dissolved.
- Cool.
- Add sugar and lime beverage.
- When partly frozen, as thick as mush stage, add egg whites and nuts.
- Freeze.
