Libbies Potato Doughnuts 2

this seems to be a newer version of the doughnut more instructions are given but still no flour amounts given I'm guessing 3 is a Czech doughnut

Ingredients

• 1  cup potato, mashed
• 1  cup sugar
• 2  tablespoons  lard, melted, she says you can use margarine
• 2  eggs, well beaten
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1  cup milk
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 4  teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 3  cups flour

Directions

1. sift at last 1 cup of the flour with the dry ingredients before adding to the potatoes and rest of ingredients
2. add enough flour to handle dough
3. roll out about 1/4 inch and cut with cutter
4. and fry in deep fat.
