Libbie's Creamed Spiced Chicken

My mother in law makes this. It's baked in the oven. She's Czech and 90 years old and has no problems with weight or heart--they all eat a country diet darn them. lol

Ingredients

• 4  lbs chicken, cut up
• 1  cup onion
• 1  teaspoon mustard seeds
• 5  whole cloves
• 5  whole allspice
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 cup milk
• 4  tablespoons flour
• 1  cup sour cream

Directions

1. Put chicken in dutch oven with enough water to cover chicken.
2. Add onion and salt.
3. Tie up mustard cloves allspice in muslin bag (bouquet garni) when chicken is tender and there is about 2 1/2 cups liquid left take out the bag and take the flour and milk make a smooth paste pour this on the chicken and bring back to a boil to thicken.
4. When thick, add sour cream, but don't boil again. It is good served on baked potatoes.
