This is so simple and easy to make for any party. I love them. They are sausage stuffing wrapped in bacon. Show more

Directions

  1. Melt margarine and water in a saucepan. Remove from heat; stir into stuffing, then add egg and uncooked sausage. Blend throughly. Chill 1 hour for easier handling; then shape into a small oblong, about the size of pecans. Cut bacon slices into third, crosswise. Wrap one around dressing mixture and fasten with a toothpick. Place in shallow pan and bake at 375° for 35 minutes or until brown and crisp turning halfway during cooking. Drain on paper towels and serve hot. May be made the day before baking. Also, freezes well before baking.
  2. * You can use mild or spicy sausage. I usually double or triple the recipe and keep some on hand for unexpected guests.
