Leola' Sweet and Sour Sauce

Yields: 1 1/4 cup
Ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar or 2 tablespoons aji mirin, which has a little different flavor
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2⁄3 cup white sugar
Directions
- Place all ingredients in pot and mix. Water must be cold for the cornstarch. Bring to a boil.
- Shut off heat and move pan.
- Sauce will thicken as it sits.
- Serve fresh or freeze up to 3 months.
