Lemon Freeze Dessert

  1. Combine corn flake crumbs, 2 Tbsp sugar and melted butter in an 8 inch pie pan; mix well.
  2. Remove 1- 2 Tbsp of the mixture and reserve for topping.
  3. Press remaining mixture of crumbs to evenly form crust.
  4. Beat egg yolks until thick.
  5. Combine with condensed milk.
  6. Add lemon juice and lemon peel.
  7. Stir until thickened.
  8. Beat egg whites until stiff, not dry.
  9. Gradually add 3 Tbsp sugar to egg whites.
  10. Fold gently into lemon mixture.
  11. Pour into pie pan.
  12. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
  13. Freeze until firm.
  14. Remove from freezer 10- 15 minutes before serving.
