Lemon Cream Cheese Crescents

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine pastry ingredients until well blended.
  3. Divide into 3 balls.
  4. Cover and place in refrigerator while making filling.
  5. To make filling:.
  6. Blend cream cheese, sugar and lemon rind.
  7. Roll one ball on lightly floured board into a 9 inch circle.
  8. Spread with 1/3 of filling.
  9. Cut into 8 triangular wedges.
  10. Roll up each wedge from the wide end towards centre and curl slightly into crescents.
  11. Repeat with the other balls.
  12. Sprinkle with sugar.
  13. Crescents can be assembled to this point, and refrigerated overnight, or frozen.
  14. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet 25 minutes.
  15. Best served warm DO NOT MICROWAVE!
