Leave It to Beaver's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Mix shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
- Blend dry ingredients.
- Add the dry ingredients into the shortening mixture.
- Mix in chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded teaspoons on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake about 10 minutes or until pale golden.
