Layered Meatball Bake

This is a different way to present meatballs and a tasty one at that! This is a one-dish dinner that will please young and old. Just serve it with a mixed green salad. Recipe from the Stove-Top people. Show more

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 ounce) package  stove-top stuffing mix for chicken
  • 1 (10 3/4ounce) can  condensed cream of mushroom soup (reduced sodium suggested)
  • 14 cup milk
  • 1 (1 lb) package  frozen meatballs
  • 2  cups  frozen peas
  • 1  cup  shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz.)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Prepare stuffing mix as directed on package.
  2. Mix the soup and milk together in a 9- x 13-inch baking dish. Stir in meatballs and peas; sprinkle with cheese. Top with stuffing.
  3. Bake 20-25 minutes or until heated through.
  4. VARIATION; Prepare as directed, making these substitutions: substitute 1 (14-1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes for the soup, omitting milk and using Italian-flavored meatballs and mozzarella cheese.
