Layer Salad

Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup cooked elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided in half)
- 1 (15 ounce) can peas, drained (divided in half)
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1 cup cauliflower, chopped
- 3 eggs, hard boiled and shelled
- 1⁄8 cup bacon, crumbled or 1⁄8 cup bacon bits
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
Directions
- In a large salad bowl cut lettuce to bite size pieces.
- Layer the ingredients as follows:.
- Onions, macaroni, 1 cup cheese, 1/2 can peas, green pepper, carrot, cauliflower, eggs, rest of the cheese, rest of the peas,and bacon.
- Dressing:.
- Mix mayo and sugar until well combined.
- Pour over salad.
- Let set in the refrigerator at least 6 hours, 12 hours if possible.
