Lauren's Apple Pie

Yields: 1 9 inch pie
Ingredients
- 2 pie crusts, uncooked
- 5 -6 tart apples, peeled and sliced to 1/4-inch
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Toss with apple slices then arrange on top of bottom pie crust. Sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with butter. Cover with top pie crust, crimp edges of the two crusts together, then cut vents in the top.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil and continue to bake for 20 additional minutes.
