Lattice Cherry Pie

This is a very good pie. I got the recipe years ago out of a cookbook, but I don't know the name of it. You can use unsweetened frozen cherries if you prefer. I usually do use the frozen cherries. Show more

Directions

  1. Drain cherries.
  2. Carefully mix cherries with next four ingredients.
  3. Pour into a 9" pastry lined pie plate.
  4. Dot with butter.
  5. Roll top crust and cut in strips.
  6. Weave strips on top of pie.
  7. Flute edges.
  8. Brush top with some of the egg.
  9. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
