  1. In sauté pan with lid, sauté onion in oil. Add beef and garlic and cook till brown.
  2. Stir in tomato sauce, paste, water and spices. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
  3. Cook noodles with 1 T of olive oil. Drain, rinse and drain.
  4. Arrange half noodles in casserole criss cross, then half of sauce. Then half ricotta and half of mozzarella.
  5. Repeat layering and top with Parmesan.
  6. Bake uncovered in 350* oven for 30-40 minutes.
