Lannette's Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 3⁄4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour, unsifted
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1⁄2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F Butter a 9X13 pan.
- Microwave butter 90 seconds; add cocoa and stir till mixed.
- Add remaining ingredients (except chocolate chips and nuts) one at a time, stirring by hand only till blended. Add flour all at once - do not over mix.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Pour into prepared baking pan; bake in preheated oven 28 to 32 minutes or until done. Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into center (away from chocolate chip) comes out clean. These brownies are good chilled.
