King Ranch Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 3 tablespoons margarine
- 1 (14 1/2ounce) can diced tomatoes tomatoes
- 1 (10 ounce) can Rotel Tomatoes
- 1 (10 3/4ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10 3/4ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1⁄3 cup picante sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 12 corn tortillas, torn into 1 inch strips
- 3 (13 ounce) cans chicken
- 3⁄4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Cook onion and green pepper in margarine until tender.
- Remove from heat.
- Add tomatoes, soups, picante, and chili powder, mix well.
- Line bottom of shallow 3 quart casserole pan with 1/2 of tortillas strips.
- Top with 1/2 the chicken and 1/2 the vegetable mixture.
- Repeat layers.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake uncovered @ 350F for 35 minutes.
