Yields: 24 cookies
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cups flour
- 8 ounces jelly or 8 ounces jam, of your choice
- 1⁄2 cup icing, sugar. (optional)
Directions
- Mix ingredients together in a large mixing bowl until combined evenly.
- Refrigerate dough for approximately one hour.
- Preheat oven to 350'.
- Roll dough into small balls (about 1'' or so. You want the balls to all be about the same size.
- On a flat floured surface roll the balls flat but not too thin.
- Fill with Jelly jam or lekvar.
- Roll up into a crescent shape.
- Place on a greased cookie sheet
- Cook for about 10-15 minutes
- As soon as the bottoms begin to brown they are done.
- Remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool on wire racks.
- Garnish with powdered sugar and enjoy!
