Khasta Kachoris' for Holi

Yields: 15-20 kachoris

  1. Put 1/4 cup oil in a pan.
  2. Add the filling ingredients.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Cook for a few minutes till the oil leaves the mixture and a wonderful aroma emerges.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Keep aside.
  7. Now start making the kachooris.
  8. For this, take all the kachori ingredients and mix well in a bowl until a dough is formed.
  9. (Mix using your hands like for rotis).
  10. Make small balls out of the mixture.
  11. Using a rolling pin, roll them out till about palm size (not very big).
  12. Put a little of the filling in each of the balls and roll the sides so as to seal the kachoori.
  13. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
  14. Drain on kitchen paper and serve immediately!
