Ingredients

• 1  cup butter, softened
• 1⁄4 cup green onion, chopped fine
• 1⁄2 cup diced green chilies (mix according to your "heat" tolerance") or 1⁄2 cup  jalapeno (mix according to your "heat" tolerance")
• 1  cup monterey jack cheese, grated
• 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
• 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1  loaf  French bread (baguette style} , sliced and toasted)

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients, then spread thickly on the toasted bread. Broil till bubbly.
