Kc-Style Barbecue Sauce

Yields: 2 1/2 cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄3 cup cider vinegar
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper, fresh ground
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 3⁄4 teaspoon celery seed, ground
- 1⁄2 teaspoon smoked salt (i.e. McCormick's)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in large saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and allow mixture to simmer 25 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Store in air-tight container in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
