Fudgy brownies that can be easily converted into a homemade mix for gifts

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter, eggs, vanilla and sugar.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until the mixture is well blended.
  4. Spread batter evenly in a parchment lined 11 X 13 inch cookie sheet (for thin brownies) or a 9 X 12 inch cake pan.
  5. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pan.
  7. Cut into 1 to 2 inch squares.
  8. For gift mix purposes, you can layer all the dry ingredients into a large jar and attach a tag. For instructions, cream butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Then mix in jar of ingredients.
