Jumbo Snap Cookies

These are absolutely incredible. If you have never tried them, you should! They are my favorite cookie, but I don't make it too often due to the 'extra' things, like melting chips and rolling in powdered sugar. Note: If you substitute all butter for the shortening, the cookies will still taste great, but they'll be too flat; and it's hard to keep the center chewy if they're so flat. Show more

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Mix the flour & baking powder and set aside.
  3. Cream the sugar, shortening, and salt.
  4. Then beat the eggs and coconut flavoring into the sugar mixture.
  5. Now, add the flour mixture.
  6. Finally, add the melted chips into dough.
  7. Mix well. Shape into balls with a teaspoon. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12-14 minutes.
