Joy Hogg's Pork Chops & Rice

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 4  pork chops
  • 1  cup raw rice
  • 1 (10 1/2ounce) can  Campbell's French onion soup
  • 1 (4 ounce) can  sliced mushrooms, with liquid
  •  soya sauce
  •  salt & pepper

Directions

  1. Cut the fat off the chops and brown on both sides.
  2. Remove chops from the pan and set aside. Add the rice to the same pan and cook, stirring constantly, until the rice has browned.
  3. Add the soup and mushrooms (with the mushroom liquid).
  4. Add a touch of soya sauce and salt and pepper. Stir to mix. Pour mixture into a casserole.
  5. Place pork chops on top.
  6. Cover and bake in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 1 hour.
  7. Serve with a salad and applesauce.
